Our Story
WasteStart was built from real, hands-on experience in waste and recycling.
Our founders spent years helping operators modernise their systems and scale their operations. Along the way, they saw a pattern: mid-size companies were often left behind - too complex for whiteboards and spreadsheets, but too small for the costly and inflexible enterprise systems designed with the largest players in mind.
So, they set out to build something different.

John Wallace
Co-Founder & CTO
Former CTO and Head of Product Marketing at AMCS Group and SolutionWorks (later acquired by AMCS), with 25 years of experience in waste and recycling technology. John has led the development of multiple industry platforms and worked with numerous operators to build software that solved real operational challenges.
